Just upped my RAM from 2 Gb to 4Gb on my MacBook Pro. Well, I´m sorry but I don´t really see/feel the speed bump. Bummer!

Me as a teenager

There´s a meme going around where you are supposed to draw yourself as you were as a teenager. Ok, why not. Above is me at 15. I used to be a drummer in various bands and had a new wave/goth period with the odd hair color (read orange or white) and second hand clothing. Fashion was dorky then but then again it still is… Anyway, this is me being tall and skinnier, sneaking in at Zanzibar, Ritz (still miss that club though). My friends thought I looked to healthy so they collected their last savings and bought me black eye shadow at Face which I was supposed to wear under my eyes in order to get the proper tormented look.
I still can´t get over that stupid hair do!
Driving and mind drifting

Is it just me or do you ever get the feeling while driving your car that you seem to “wake up” mean while you´re mind has drifted and you have no idea what happened while driving for the last miles/minutes? Not like you could´ve run over anyone without notice but never the less, you´re mind is blank? This seems to happen to me when I´m tired or stressed at work and it makes me nervous because I feel I´m a bit out of control.
I have a feeling this has a tendency to happen while driving in familiar places so I actually am concentrated on the road but it doesn´t need as much focus as I feel it should. This is something I can´t say is a fact, the out of body experiences, it´s a feeling i get that I can´t shake.
In all honesty I like to drive fast but I am such a wuss at the same time that I rarely do. Up north I can allow myself to go alittle crazy because there are hardly any traffic and the roads are good but here in the big city with all the stupid drivers I´m generally too cautious (except for foul language).
Foul language and driving is another thing. I feel it is essential for mental sanity to scream profanities at stupid drivers, pedestrians or bicycle riders. That way you can let off steam and come home and be a good person :-)
Weird getting home

Every once in a while coming home after a vacation really sucks. I love my home but still, usually I´m always ready to go somewhere else. Traveling is in the blood. There are times when it´s worse to come home than other times. This time coming back to work full of new energy was quickly killed. What is it with people today? It´s beautiful outside and as long as you´re not allergic to spring it´s just great. But here people are really stuck on complaining like gnarly, bitter old effing hags. Stop it already! I have no intention of becoming one too, but it seems highly contagious! Waaah.
Touring Scotland

I came home from Edinburgh, Scotland last night. Scotland was/is a fantastic place. It was my first visit there. We came to Aberdeen last thursday and traveled around by car. Visited Talisker brewery at Skye among other places. Monday afternoon we rolled into Edinburgh which was a fantastic city! I really want to go back. Soon.
It was an experiment in online withdrawal. I didn´t bring a computer this time, just my iPod Touch. There wasn´t all that many places that had wireless access so I ended up not being online more than for about half hour at Cameron House. Probably the coolest Hotel I´ve stayed at. It was ok to be without the interwebs, I survived but that was just because of all the irl impressions. :-)

Absolut colors celebrates the Rainbow flags 30th birthday by making a special rainbow packaged bottle of their famous vodka. It makes me proud that a multinational company decides to honor multitude and individuality in this way. The package is designed by Gilbert Baker who made the first Pride flag in 1978. (The Italian peace flag is older and slightly different rainbow flag but both of them serves a good purpose).
Absolut has always been very very good at marketing!

Blogging is a difficult task at times. Not only do you need a good topic or a catchy angle, you need to spell right and display cool graphics. When I was on LJ many moons ago, I used Xjournal as a help. It was good to be able to start drafts of posts even when not being able to be online and so on. Since switching to Wordpress and my own domain I´ve only used the the online editor and even though good, it does have a few limitations.
With ecto perhaps some of my typos will be more easily detected.
It´s fun days over at Dave at blogography and his Blogiversary 5. I´m impressed about the amount of work he puts into his blog and the generosity he gives out to his avid fans.
The Tindersticks are playing tomorrow at Debaser and I think I will go there and listen to them. Seems like I have to go alone because no one either wants or can go with me tomorrow *sobs*
I´m kind of stoked about The Gutter Twins but then again I´ve always been a fan of Mark Lanegan.
